Who writes what
Joshua Stine is the byline on firsthand accounts, material substantially derived from his book, and personal analysis he is prepared to own directly.
Help! I Got a Puppy Editorial is the byline on general guides, breed information, checklists, research summaries, and other material produced through the site’s editorial process.
A specialist is named as a reviewer only when that person actually reviewed the stated material and agreed to be identified. A credential is never implied from research or AI assistance.
How material is developed
- Start with the reader’s question. We begin with the practical thing a new owner is trying to figure out.
- Gather the basis. That may include Joshua’s experience and original concepts, the book, primary or authoritative sources, product information, and recurring owner feedback.
- Draft and challenge. AI may help organize, compare, draft, and revise. Claims, recommendations, and limitations remain subject to human review.
- Review before publication. Joshua directs and reviews published material. AI does not approve or publish a page on its own.
- Update and correct. We revisit material as evidence, products, or practical guidance changes.
Experience, research, and product recommendations
We distinguish between firsthand use, professional familiarity, and research-based selection. “We tested” means HIGAP actually used the products covered by that statement. If we have not physically tested every item, we say so and explain the comparison basis.
Manufacturer specifications and third-party ratings are not presented as HIGAP’s own findings. Changing details such as prices, feature counts, policies, and availability should be checked at the source. Affiliate relationships do not determine what receives a personal byline or turn research into firsthand experience.
Health, safety, and other consequential guidance
HIGAP provides educational information, not veterinary diagnosis or individualized professional advice. For health, safety, legal, insurance, and other consequential decisions, we aim to identify the limits of the page and point readers toward appropriate primary or professional sources.
